on a cheerier note than the last post, last night we (me, jason, hugh, kate & me brother) went to see the mighty boosh live at the city hall (hence new blog title). the audience was as expected - a few 15 year old indie chicks, a few goths, a few replica vince hair dos, and lots of people looking pretty much like us. but sadly no jazz fans in cardigans. though jason does a bear an uncanny likeness to howard.
the openning intro bit was fantastic, i've not laughed that much in ages. i was actually a little bit worried that it was all going to be that funny as most of my body ached after just 5 minutes. fortunately the jokes-per-minute ratio lessened a bit but it was no less enjoyable for that as all the favourite characters & songs were warmly cheered by an appreciative crowd.
and then i got nearly 9 hours kip last night, the most in ages, thus proving laughter is good for the soul.
i just noticed the howard link takes you to vince/noel's page, so click on the 'visit julian' link on the bottom left & turn your speakers on.
ReplyDeleteindeed, i think laughter is good for the soul.I've sometimes laughed so hard that I have, in fact, feared for my life because breathing has become so difficult.
